Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)
A person in this position is accountable for advising customers on selection of plants and methods of planting and cultivation. Create crop input plans for customers. Assist customers with product portfolio, including the introduction of new products and systems. Scout fields for weeds, pests, and insects. Suggests seed and treatment suitable for specified growing conditions. Knowledge of customer/prospect base, key growers, competition (including competitive products, crops, processors, and key industry influencers. Set clear expectations with customer on terms of sale, price, and delivery Sales of chemical, fertilizer, seed, and precision Ag products. Prepares sales slip. Receives payment or obtains credit authorization. Coordinate’s delivery of product for customer. Promotes new merchandise to customers. Maintain and increase current clients. Takes inventory of stock.

Qualifications:

• Class A CDL (Preferred)

• Pesticide Applicator’s License (Preferred)

• Bachelor’s degree in agronomy, agribusiness or a related discipline (prefered)

• Valid Driver’s License


Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

• Ability to identify common weeds, pests, and insects.

• Strong knowledge of chemical, fertilizer, and seed.

• Excellent work ethic

• Ability to read field maps and use tractor-mounted field computers.


Computer Skills:

Basic computer skills necessary

HOURS / DAYS / SCHEDULE:

This is a full time, 40+ hours per week position, typically Monday - Friday. Qualified applicants must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed, especially during times of high seasonal demand.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Copies data and compiles records and reports. Tabulates and posts data in record books. Collects payments from patrons and issues payment receipt. Gives information to patrons regarding opening local charge accounts. Receives, counts, and pays out cash. Prepares, issues, and sends out receipts, bills, policies, invoices, statements, and checks. Assists office staff with special projects as needed. Operates computer terminal to input and retrieve data. Operates office machines such as postage, adding, calculating, and duplicating machines.


Opens and routes incoming mail, answers correspondence, and prepares outgoing mail. Greets and assists visitors. Maintains office supplies to ensure all supplies are replenished as needed. Checks mail daily, applies postage and delivers to post office daily.

Verifies and posts batches and details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and totals accounts to ledgers or computer spreadsheets and databases. Monitors batches to ensure that transactions are up to date. Reconciles report discrepancies and problems. Codes data for input to financial data processing system according to company procedures. Reviews, balances, and interprets computer reports, and makes corrections. Assists employees, vendors, clients, or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services.

Job Description:

  • Complete pre and post trip inspections daily and communicate any necessary maintenance items to the appropriate personnel. Ensure all necessary equipment is always safe to operate.
  • Load, transport and deliver each load in a safe and timely manner.
  • Monitor equipment, loading and unload processes at all times.
  • Complete customer and company paperwork accurately and turn in daily.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Ability to pass regular DOT drug screening, DOT medical examinations and background checks.
  • Minimum of 2 years of agreeable MVR/driving record.
  • Knowledge of and ability to comply with all DOT, OSHA and company safety regulations.
  • Keen safety awareness and ethical decision-making skills.
  • Ability to interact with customers, drivers and other co-workers in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
  • Minimal technological aptitude, and the ability to operate and maintain legal electronic or paper log data when needed.
  • Ability to work 12+ hour shifts, 40-70 hours per week.
  • Ability to sit and drive for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to climb in and out of a truck multiple times a day, on top of trailers and other equipment when needed.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push or pull up to 75 lbs.
